PLEASE DONATE TO OUR TRAINING PROGRAM: Almost Home No-Kill Shelter, in partnership with BLCC, began training and socialization for 7 dogs (Gracie, Gage, Ramona, Sherry, Isaiah, Violet, Chyna) that have been living in the shelter for at least a year or more. Although they are loved and cared for at the Shelter, they have developed survival behaviors in this environment, such as aggression towards other dogs, fear of people (particularly men), etc. During their 8 weeks in training, they have learned: how to interact with other dogs both one-on-one and in groups; accept strangers approaching them; walk politely on leash; commands such stay, sit, etc.; ride in cars; swim; and the list goes on. These dogs are thriving and look forward to training every week. Gage and Isaiah are ready for adoption and several others are very close! In order to continue this training AND allow other dogs from Almost Home to participate, we need your help. We need to continuously raise money to cover the trainers fees, in-home adoption introductions by the trainer, and contributions toward the use of BLCCs facility.
