Guest Speaker: Mark Stoops, Indiana State Senator I-69 Section 4 is under construction and the problems and costs are mounting: There is widespread failure of erosion control measures resulting in extreme pollution of surface waters and the underground karst system in Monroe and Greene Counties. Photos demonstrating the continuing pollution will be on display. Section 5 studies are underway. Funding continues to be a problem for INDOT and a Public/Private Partnership is being proposed to fund that section. Will I-69 ever be completed? How much will it cost taxpayers? Why did the approval process fail so badly and what are the consequences for Indiana’s environment and the future of transportation in Indiana? Please come and join the discussion.
