PLEASE HELP ME - I DIE ON MONDAY, 12/15/14, UNLESS SOMEONE LIKE YOU STEPS UP FOR ME AND SAVES MY DEAR LIFE! PLEASE READ THE NICE THINGS THEY HAVE TO SAY ABOUT ME AT THE SHELTER: A pretty, too thin, little girl looks up at me as I unlatch her gate. Shy and a bit nervous, she needs time to warm up before we can become friends. The more exposure shes had to different volunteers and staff, the better she has become, and very quickly at that. Doing well on her behavior assessment earned her a spot in adoptions where shes doing well meeting different people. Off leash in a pen she explored her new surroundings, coming over to take a treat from my hand and then retreating to enjoy it quietly. In play groups she quietly allows other dogs to greet her, but as of this writing not engaging in play. Spotify has come a very long way in a short amount of time, and every day has seen a major step forward. Shes a rockstar in the making, a diamond in the rough, but I have every confidence she will gain full rockstar status quickly. Ask to meet her when you visit. Another volunteer writes: This shy girl has a sweet demeanor. She is learning to trust people again. Her beautiful blue/gray eyes look so deep into you. I sat with her in the backyard quietly and she came over and sniffed my face. I gave her treats and she took them happily from me. I hope that this beautiful girl finds the right person to give her the love and tenderness that she has inside. Could there be a more heartbreaking opening to a dogs intake notes than this: Spotify was found tied to a pole in the rain. People working nearby said she had been there for hours. Who knows what miseries Spotify has witnessed in her short time on Earth, all I know is that she deserves to be safe and loved, now and for the rest of her life. A beautiful and mysterious girl, shes shy but curious, timid yet appreciative of attention. Sweet with everyone she meets but truly at ease only with a select few, competition to be her new BFF is red hot and all of us wish we could be the one to write (as a favored volunteer did after walking her to the park) that this lovely, gentle girl has come out of her shell - Shes great! Spotify is the kind of dog you want to succeed so much it hurts and every time she refuses to go past the gate or cowers from my hand she breaks another little piece of my heart. Will you be the one to give Spotify the carefree life she never had?
