PLEASE HELP. Tonight the family and I drove up to Zion Cemetery. When we got to the top of the hill this little girl started running toward us. I got out of the truck to check her out. I discovered a fresh bowl of water (half full, cold and no dirt in it) and a fresh pile of dog food (no ants covering it). She had recently been left there. She isnt dirty at all. She has a great temperament, she rubbed up against my legs then laid on the ground and rolled over for me to rub her belly. SO...I brought her home with the high temps and the fact she drank all the water in the bowl while we there, I just couldnt leave her in the heat. I CANNOT keep her. With our house on the market and moving out of state its just not right for us. My kids have all been introduced to her. She is in the back yard right now with them. I am sitting here watching them play she is calm, but playful. mindful of the kids and very affectionate. I do think maybe she has been hit a few times. When I went to grab her collar she cowered down like I was going to hit her...but I just pet her and then she was trusting. She even let me pick her up and put her in the back of the Yukon. She was quit and pleasant the whole ride home. Please help me find her a home...hubby wants me to take her to the shelter tomorrow...since we couldnt reach anyone there tonight.
