PLEASE PRAY FOR THEM 24 students from an engineering college in Hyderabad are feared to have been washed away in the Beas river near Mandi in Himachal Pradesh. Six of them are girls. The incident occurred at around 6:30 pm when the students, who were on their way to Manali for an excursion, were clicking pictures on the banks of the river. They are feared to have been swept away by the gushing waters of the river as the discharge of water suddenly increased following its release from the reservoir of the 126 MW Larji hydropower project. Angry locals blocked the Manali- Kiratpur Highway after the incident. A massive search operation has been launched to trace the missing students. The students are from V.N.R. Vignan Jyothi Engineering College in Hyderabad. # Sai Prashanth
