PLEASE READ: Here is my take on the touchy topic of posting accident information (Example: The weather related accident that occurred today near Ponca, NE): Often people get angry that accident and injury information is posted to this site and to other media pages. I will only post accident info if it is related to the Siouxland area and if it weather related. It was brought to my attention that this was a weather related accident. The local news stations did their job, whether it being ethical or non-ethical, of getting this information quickly to the public. I relayed this information so our members were aware of the situation as well. Yes, myself and other members of this group are often extremely quick at relaying information. If names of individuals involved or touchy subject matters were released in this group they would be deleted instantly. If myself or any other member of this group unfortunately was involved in an accident, our accident would be spread on social media and the news like wildfire just like the accident that occured near Ponca today. It is just how things work these days with internet and social media being so powerful. Yes, this accident is unfortunate for many people of our surrounding communities but I am extremely computer and internet savvy and seen no negative posts on other media pages about the topic being posted. I have worked hard to give this page a good reputation and if I feel a post will hurt this page, it will get deleted or will not be posted. Just my two cents....
