PLEASE READ: Im sorry, my mind has been racing and I think Ive sorted a topic of controversy out, or at least maybe see it in a more panorama like way. I hesitate to put any rants up on here, the belief that anyone was genuinely interested in my opinion left when the ego of my youth did - but sometimes you just feel an overwhelming need to share. The Fred Phelps church has really never ceased to infuriate me, the audacious and hurtful words they shot at people filled me with something close to a bloodlust. Now I see the sadness and tragedy of the entire thing. Tragedy that people otherwise unfamiliar with Christianity will ever associate the word hate with our Lord God because of them. Sadness that such imaginary links will very likely keep said people from pursuing a relationship with God. The gift of infinity and the fact that our Holy Father and Christ love us is something I cannot fully ever understand and wrap my head around, yet he screamed the exact opposite lie. Sadness that people risk their lives going to the far dangerous corners of the globe to share Christs love and he got worldwide media attention for sharing a message of hate and in blasphemy attaching it to The Lord. Finally tragedy that a leader and group of followers truly believed all of this, the weight of these misconceptions on their shoulders must be enormous. I write this so that anyone who feels they do not know God or have a relationship with him will learn there is only love, no hate. Of all things to misrepresent and manipulate I assure you the presence and love from our Lord is the last thing to lie about.
