STORY OF MY LIFE BY O.L MAETSO INTRODUCTION The story on this novel is centered around a lanky handsome young man by the name “Betty” and of course some of his family life. Reading this novel may not only interest you or help you think about things from different perspectives but also help you cope with the hardships of life and as well change your life. Before you walk into the next page or even get started.. I would like to take this opportunity to ask for forgiveness from all those who may think of this book as a personal affront to them… Most of the events displayed on this story are real life experiences but some are only an exaggeration to spice up the story in order to entice the readers to read more & more..Hahaha! Hope you enjoy it... PAGE 2 Most well known best selling authors would know how or which way to start a book of this kind… “whether from ‘good to bad’ or ‘bad to good’ ”, the likes of Danielle Steel or Sidney… but a novice like me who is new to the world of authors fertile imagination would find it very difficult if not impossible to bring about the beginning. CHAPTER 1 Betty originate from a family of eight forks. His father “Moses”, mother “Kathryn”, Lilian is his only brother. He has four lovely sisters namely, “Michelle”, “Mandy”, “Lukie” and lastly “Daphney”. As stated on the introduction page… Yah! Betty is quite a lanky young man, coffee coloured black in complexion and of course with remarkable looks that would surely overwhelm the emotions of a pretty looking girl or a young woman. But besides that, most people find him amusing, cordial, respectful, ingenious, a bit subdued but most of all “amiable”, while a few may see the opposite in him. He grew up with his family and friends in a rural area within the Borolong tribe known as “Ramatlabama”. He finished 2 years of his high school at one of the best senior schools in the country of Botswana. Good hope Senior has always felt more than just a home to him, but more like a haven.. “a place where people or animals can feel safe and happy”, but for some days this place could turn around or upside down to something else… …to a place more like a prison itself… “FOR SOME REASONS I CAN NOT REVEAL” . Oratile Lawrence Maetso aka “Betty” was in a classroom of fourty-five students whom throughout the 2 years of his life there, formed part of his temporary family . An awesome thing is the fact that this admirable family bond and spirit still persist amongst them. Amongst the millions of them was Nancy, Beth ‘well known as ‘Jessica’ ’, Onkgopotse and many others you’l get to hear about as the story proceeds & these were the closest friends of his.
