. PLEASE READ THIS UPDATE ON DANE!!!!! Thursday, July 10: Most assuredly, whatever you ask of the Father in My name, He will give to you. John 16:23 Today is a day that I have longed for, prayed for, asked others to pray for, wept for since May 24th. I stand in AWE of our Lord and His goodness. I am OVERCOME with thanksgiving, joy, peace, and love. I want each of you who read this post today to know that the Lord God has heard your prayers. He is real, He loves you just like He loves Dane, He wants you to live in perfect peace with Him. Diran always quotes BIlly Graham who once said that John 3:16 really could read For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, That whosoever believes in, longs for and clings to Him shall have everlasting life. I have know that better the last six weeks than I ever have. I have clung to my Lord for dear life, the life of my son, Dane. Each day God has been faithful to give us a miracle, everyday. But today, GOD SHOWED UP BIG!!! I want you to know that Diran spent a good part of his night praying to the Lord to show us a sign so big that no one could attribute it to anyone but HIM! So let me tell you about today. We started out a little sleepy this morning and he was hungry as they had stopped his feeds getting ready for the MRI today as he would go under anesthesia. He was almost melancholy and it made me sad. He did what he was asked to do but you could tell he was deep in thought. We started with OT and he gave him a dry erase board and asked him what he wanted to do and he wrote lOl. I thought that he meant Hwy 101 as we live off of it but he shook NO - Diran asked Laugh out loud? and he shook yes! We so want him to be able to! In speech we worked with the app that helps him speak and our speech therapist was explaining that because of where the main injury to the brain was that speech would be the most difficult and that it would take a long time. She said it could be very confused, very jumbled in his speech. It would be hard. Dane heard every word. We went on to our other therapy sessions and in one they asked him to use a group of letters to spell a word that had to do with rodeo. . The letters were R O P E. He looked at it and spelled PRO and pushed the R away. She said no, thats not it - but we stopped her and I asked Dane if that was right. He shook his head yes. I asked him if he was talking about Pro-Youth - his rodeo association. He shook his head a big yes!!! He knew! Then he spelled rodeo out of a group of letters. Victory! We went on to OT where we worked on only using the left hand and he was able to grasp a ball, and put it in a basketball hoop 7 times. It was so hard for him and I was really proud. Our last session of PT we went into the mat room and got on the swing where he can straddle the swing like its a saddle. He was swinging with the therapist and he started moving his arm like he was roping, so we are talking about roping and asking yes and no questions. In the course of conversation, Laura our amazing therapist says, What color is your horse? And Dane SAID BROWN!!!!!!!! HE SAID BROWN!!!!! We were so taken off guard! We got so excited we asked him a million questions and he ANSWERED THEM ALL!!!! We asked everyones name, his name, what were his horses name, his brothers name, his brothers girlfriends name, where we lived, all the therapists names, a million questions - HE ANSWERED THEM ALL!!!!!! By the time we showed all the therapists in the gym everyone was crying! We were praising the Lord with hands lifted high!!!! We went back upstairs and continued to make everyone cry as he spoke to each one! Our speech therapist asked him days of the week, count to 20, HE DID IT!!!! The doctors came by and we surprised his main doctor and she became emotional as well. It was the celebration all over the hospital!!!! We had to call Pierce and he was the first person Dane talked to on the phone. Needless to say Pierce was so happy. Dane called my parents and surprised them with the greatest phone call of their lives!!! We could not celebrate for long as we had to leave for the MRI. We got there - talking all the way - and we were concerned about the need for anesthesia at this point. We meet the anesthesiologist and tell her what has just occurred and she says we will not be doing any anesthesia! If we cant so a rapid MRI without it we wont do one. Dane told her very clearly - GOD IS GOOD! She left the room crying and needless to say we did not have anesthesia!!!! We have been overjoyed to share in this miracle today. His speech is NOT confused, not delayed - IT IS GOD! It is Dirans answer to prayer - God did this. Glory to HIM! He has continued to improve into full sentences, asking questions and thanking everyone he sees. He and his daddy talked about fishing in the river, vacation, rodeo, going to the NFR, everything imaginable. He shocked Tamie Mc and Sondra Nored today but just speaking with they saw him - what a great glorious day it has been!!!!!TO GOD BE THE GLORY GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE!!!!! Dane believes and Dane is speaking today. If you ever wondered if God was real, if He is in the details of your life - here is one little boys life to prove it Jehovah Rapha the God who heals. I am overwhelmed.....Sundays coming - its close!!!!!!!
