PLEASE READ TO END - Im organizing a team to do yoga on the steps of Barney Ellis Plaza on July 20th to raise money for an organization called, Living Beyond Breast Cancer They provide financial resources, counseling, family support, a reference hot line and even hair pieces for woman battling breast cancer. If youve ever known anyone who has had breast cancer, you know the overwhelming number of challenges they face each and every day. This is a simple yoga session on the steps (beginners can do this!), intermingled with an honoring of local breast cancer survivors on stage. So far, Karen S. Wright, Phyllis Zacher, Anemarie Mura, Jennifer Wright Hazelman, Twyla Craven, JoAnn Pastena Vaught, and Peggy Bratcher Young are all confirmed. If JoA or Twyla can not make it, Tessa and Andy are on stand by:) Does anyone else want to join in? Let me know soon. I will register our Team this weekend and pay each persons registration fee of $20 and collect from everyone the morning of the event. I need your e mail address to register you on the team, (please msg that to me). Yoga on the Steps will then send you a link to your own fund raising page to link to your Facebook wall. You will ask your FB friends to sponsor you on your page. All donations go to Living Beyond Breast Caner. Free Tank Tops for participants the day of event. This is a fun event for all ages and most physical levels. If you want to support this event, but dont want to do yoga, you can be on our team and bring us bottled waters and watch from a lawn chair!:) Please let me know by Saturday if youre joining in.
