***PLEASE READ*** Went to Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries in Woodworth this evening to get things lined out for the National Kids Hunting and Fishing Day event. Looks like we have a pretty awesome spot to set up on with more room than we could ask for to work with and they are wanting to decorating the shooting dock up in a swamp type scene and kind of make a big deal out of bowfishing this year. Here is a somewhat list of things we are going to need for the day so if u would like to help in anyway, it will be more than appreciated. 1. We decided not to go with the bow packages. Instead we will be donating a LIFETIME hunting and fishing license to one lucky kid. Looking at only 1 right now but if we get enough donations we will give 2 away. It will be given with a certificate saying it was donated by Cenla Bowfishing so we will actually get a little recognition for everyones efforts. Right now after buying tattoos, which hit me for $190 after tax and shipping, we are about $250 short for the 1st license. So if you would like to help and donate to that feel free to message, text, or call me. 318-664-8105 2. There is enough room for at least 15 boats where we are going to be set up so if u would like to display your set up, please do. You dont have to be present either, u can drop it off the day before and it will be locked in the premises over night. If not, U will need to be there for 6:30am the day of. (All of this will be discussed in detail at a meeting we will hold on the week before the event) We are wanting to show that it doesnt take a fancy boat to bowfish so ANY TYPE RIG is encouraged to come, no matter how it looks. You will have the option to allow people to look at, climb in, and possibly shoot off of your boat. Also could put a please do not touch sign on it if u wish. 3. We have plenty of bows to be used but will be in need of as many AMS pros, arrow rest, and arrows as possible. (Old tips will be a plus too so that I can grind them down to a dull point) Im not exactly sure how I will do it yet but we will have a way so that we know whos gear is whos at the end of the day. 4. Any type of covered canapé. We are ganna need AT LEAST 3 but the more the better. 5. PEOPLE!!! From the amount of stuff we will have going on at one time, the more people we can get the better. Whether it is answering questions and showing off gear at a booth, shooting with kids off the dock or boats. Helping kids in and out of boats, or even helping direct the lines for shooting. They say that we will probably have one of the longest lines and most sought after events there because it is new. 6. Pictures and videos. I have plenty of pictures here to choose from but if u have a good one thats not here let me know. With videos we are going to put together a 10 min video or so to play on loop in one of the booth to show people what its like to be on a boat at night.
