PLEASE SHARE AND MAKE IT GO VIRAL XXXXX Our local council is proposing closing the Junior High Schools in Shetland, or reducing them so that our bairns will either have to go to Lerwick to finish their education for either S1 or S4. This will be the first time in Shetlands history that there is no choice available, and bairns will have to leave their homes before the age of 16. For some bairns on the mainland, this means very long bus journeys, taking them out of their communities. For isles bairns, this means having to board in the Lerwick 5 days a week. The communities affected are strongly against these cuts, and dont believe they will be educationally beneficial or save money. This video has been made and I ask you all to like and share it, to help us get our message across to the council.
