PLEASE SHARE SMOKEY ***** SURRENDERED FOR ALLERGIES AT AGE 14 **** SHOWS CARE WAS NEGLECTED TOO ***** GENTLE PLAY STYLE WITH OTHER SMALL DOGS ***NEW HOPE RESCUE The owners excuse for dumping Smokey AT 14 YEARS OF AGE, should make your mouth drop open or your hair curl. They developed ALLERGIES AFTER LIVING WITH THIS LITTLE 11 LB SHIH TZU FOR 14 YEARS!!!!! Probably developed allergies to having to spend some money for NORMAL age related problems like proper dental care, etc. Smokey also has matted hair so hasnt gotten proper care either. He is easy to handle, responsive at his age, found to be calm on a leash, shy, and friendly. He bit the plastic hand during the food bowl test so was made NEW HOPE rescue only. But please note WAS RELAXED WITH OTHER DOGS, FRIENDLY TO LIVE PEOPLE. Outside of here he may or may not have food guarding issues but an experienced owner can work on that. This is a crime against a loyal dog.
