PLEASE SHARE: Surrey Police Appeal for information following Kingswood aggravated burglary East Surrey CID is appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at a house near Kingswood Golf Course. Officers were called to the address at around 5.45pm on Wednesday, 12 November after a report that a man had entered the address with what is believed to be a firearm. Three women, who were at the property at the time of the offence, were forced to remove their jewellery which the offender stole. He then made them open a safe where further high-value jewellery was stored which was also taken. A woman in her 50s was punched to the face and a woman in her 20s was also assaulted. Both women were taken to hospital for treatment to shock and minor injuries, they have since been released. The other woman, who is in her 20s, was left shocked but uninjured following the ordeal. Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Paul Gordon, said: I would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area around the time of the offence or has information on who is responsible to contact Surrey Police as a matter of urgency. The offender is clearly a dangerous and violent individual who will go to great lengths to get what he wants and anyone who has their suspicions around someone they know should share this information with officers. Although the investigation is still in the early stages, it is believed this was a targeted offence and it may be possible that the offender had carried out visits to the area prior to the burglary, if you have seen anything which may connect then please come forward. I would urge anyone who either lives or runs a business in the area and who has CCTV on their property to also make contact as this may hold footage vital to our investigation. He was wearing a black balaclava, black jacket and black leather gloves. He spoke with a London accent. Detectives assisted by uniformed colleagues from the Reigate and Banstead Safer Neighbourhood Team are making a number of enquiries in the local area.
