PLEASE SHARE YOUR FLOOD INSURANCE STORY! Weve all heard some politicians that say the stories of extraordinarily high premiums are untrue but we all know what the facts are. We need to show them real numbers from real people so they can understand just what Biggert-Waters is doing to us. To paint an accurate picture of how harmful the changes are we need to know what your premium was last year, the new premium amount, when you bought your house (especially important if you were caught by the July 2012 purchase cut-off), your BFE or base flood elevation, and the elevation of your house.
