PLEASE VOTE FOR US BEFORE 1ST NOVEMBER 2013 Shrimps Active – Soft Play Project – Findhorn Village Centre CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE – Our village, Findhorn, is a great place to live, and you might think that the children who live in or nearby are very fortunate. Indeed they are as they are in a minority. Over 40% of the homes in the village are holiday homes and this percentage is getting bigger which means that in 10 or 15 years time local young people will leave to take up education in nearby towns and cities leaving the village. We want to act now – To build facilities that will attract young families to live in our area and to bring activities that parents and children can enjoy together. By listening to their needs we have already established a thriving Parents and children’s group which we call Shrimps. Building on our success We are aiming to have a Soft Play Scheme, staffed two sessions a week to enable parents and their babies and children to have fun and learn together.
