PLZ READ, If you all read my post yesterday I was frustrated because it has took me a while to try to set up a youth basketball team for the young men I mentor. It seemed as if I wouldnt be able to pay the fee to play in this tournament, and the jerseys we were promised never came through. So after I prayed on it I spoke with the director of the tournament and came to an agreement. He allowed my team to play in white t-shirts and we drew numbers on the back. Call it tacky,call it ghetto, but I call it survival. After winning our first game, when we returned to the neighborhood we found out that about 20 young men had been fighting and shooting.if We wouldnt have swallowed our pride and played, those would have been some of my boys.#THE YOUNG MEN OF THE F.O.F(FINDING OUR FUTURES) BASKETBALL TEAM)
