PM Raila Odinga to discuss devolution on NMGs Diaspora Notebook show Prime Minister Raila Odinga is set to discuss the future of county governments in Kenya with Kenyans living abroad in a televised interview to be broadcast live from Boston, Massachusetts in the US. The Cord leader will make an official appearance on Nation Media Group’s premier international special features online show, the Diaspora Notebook during its official launch in Boston, Massachusetts during the Boston Marathon weekend. Hundreds of Kenyans living in the US and Canada are expected to congregate in Boston, as it has become a tradition, to cheer Kenya’s elite runners in the Boston Marathon that will take place on Monday, April 21, 2014. The town hall event is scheduled to take place on the afternoon of April 20, 2014 at 65 Village St. Lowell, Massachusetts. It will also coincide with the first auditions of the inaugural Diaspora 254 Star talent search that will see auditions take place in 24 cities and states in the US, four cities and provinces in Canada and four cities in the UK. “Ever since he arrived in the US, the former Prime Minister has been inundated by questions from Kenyans living in the US and most of the questions have something to do with the county governments. Kenyans living abroad are very concerned by reports from the Kenyan press that the future of the newly established county governments is uncertain,” said Sammy Maina, the man in charge of Mr Odinga’s itinerary and programme during his visit to Boston.
