We encourage all ICT start-ups and individuals to attend so as not to miss out on the opportunities. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear ICT Entrepreneur, Businessman and Businesswoman, As you may be aware, one of the outputs from the recent ICT Cluster initiative is to establish a Business Incubator specifically for ICT start-ups and SMEs. Most business start-ups fail within 2-3 years and therefore the key objective of having an ICT Business Incubator is to mitigate the failure of PNG ICT start-ups or SMEs with high growth potential. Possible benefits to you from the ICT Business Incubator include: (1) Shared or subsidised basic operating overhead costs: utilities, office equipment, computer services, meeting, conference rooms, etc. Some of the facilities may be provided free of charge. (2) Administrative assistance (3) Access to experts, advisors, coaches and mentors (4) Start-up or SME growth capital/ fund raising assistance (5) Comradeship by fellow entrepreneurs, etc. The ICT Business Incubator when established is purposely for you because without you there is no reason to have an ICT Business Incubator. The ICT Business Incubator Working Committee invites you to attend an information session on the ICT Business Incubator this Thursday at 4pm at the Digicel Learning Centre. The purpose of this session is to give you some information on the ICT Incubation Model and how we anticipate it to work. We will also provide you information on how you could qualify for selection into the ICT Business Incubator and how we could ensure that this selection process is objective, fair and transparent. At this session, we would like you to give us your views, concerns, etc. so we can discuss and resolve/ clarify/ take into account and address. I will be presenting to the group the ICT Business Incubator concept and other members of the working group will be there to contribute to the discussions. I would like to state here that I am a non-ICT professional/ entrepreneur and I currently have no direct ICT business interests. I got involved because I want to see you succeed.
