PNG PM disappointed at Australia visa issue snub Updated at 4:48 pm on 7 February 2014 The Papua New Guinea prime minister, Peter ONeill, says he is disappointed that Australia wont issue visas on arrival for Papua New Guineans. Speaking on talkback radio, Mr ONeill says such reciprocal arrangements are done all over the world in bilateral relations. He says as a result of Canberras stance, Australians will no longer be able to get a visa on arrival at PNGs ports of entry. Australias foreign minister, Julie Bishop, has said Australia now offers Papua New Guineans the opportunity to apply for visa to Australia on-line before they leave the country. She says she is concerned that on arrival, people have their visa applications rejected and an air ticket is wasted.
