POLICE ALERT - ROBBERS ATTACK GASEGWAGWA COUPLE Police are looking for armed robbers who attacked a couple at their home at Gasegwagwa in the Southern District injuring them in the process. Kanye police station commander, Superintendant Kealositse Konyana saidt three masked entered a certain home at 2:30 a.m at Gasegwagwa and started assaulting the victims. The men were armed with knives. He said the intruders hit their victims in the face and head with a knobkerrie. The couple was treated and discharged by Kanye Seventh Day Adventist Hospital. The intruders reportedly demanded the keys to the victims’ tuck shop, handcuffed the couple and proceded to the tuck shop were they looted airtime valued at P60, cash amounting to P3,700 and four cellphones. They also went away with a white 4x2 Toyota Hilux bearing plate numbers B387 AAA. The police are requesting members of the public to assist with information that could lead to the arrest of the culprits and the recovery of the vehicle. Supt Konyana is also appealing to the public to be on the lookout for people in possession of many cellphones as they may be the culprits.
