POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE HEADS TO THE WOODS Last month, eight of Denver’s Police Athletic League athletes took a camping trip to Devil’s Thumb Ranch in Winter Park with Denver Police Officers. At the ranch, the young athletes went horseback riding, fishing and other fun activities. The Denver Police Activities League (PAL) is a non-profit charitable organization established in 1969 to provide athletic and other endeavors to Denver youth during high-risk hours, and to be a positive interface between the Denver Police Department and the community. Between 5,000 and 6,000 Denver youth participate in PAL on a yearly basis. PAL will take another group of their athletes on a trip again in November.
