POLICE REGIONAL OFFICE MIMAROPA NO: 112014-_ NEWS RELEASE Authority : PSUPT IMELDA VASQUEZ TOLENTINO Chief, Regional Public Information Office Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City E-mail : rpio_mimaropa@ymail Date : November 20, 2014 PRO MIMAROPA’s 1st Tactical Commanders Course Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City- The forty-five (45) days Tactical Commanders Course Class 05-2014R4B composed of thirty-eight (38) Police Commissioned Officers from different Police Provincial Offices formally opened at about 9:00 AM of November 20, 2014 at PRO4B Grandstand, Camp Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City with PSSUPT ABAD HESIDO OSIT, Chief, Regional Police Community Relation Division as the Keynote Speaker, and PSUPT RONNIE R VISCO, as the Course Director. The said course was formulated to enhance the leadership and operational capabilities of Regional Public Safety Battalion/Provincial Public Safety Company/City Public Safety Company in addressing internal security and counter-terrorism concerns, responding to crisis situations, and conducting rescue and relief operations in your respective areas of jurisdiction. This is an offshoot of the observations /findings obtain during the field visit of Director for Operation to PROs. It’s objective is to produce Maneuver Force Tactical Commanders (MFTC) that are capable of conducting mission planning, internal defense operations, small unit combat, reconnaissance patrol and special operations mission; to develop to the maximum by academic instructions and practical field training and potential for command and leadership of selected Police Commissioned Officers (PCOs) to improve their leadership, management skills and operational capabilities; and to develop physically strong and skillfully trained individuals and then finally weld them to compose the compact, hard hitting teams. After finishing the course, the participants will be given the opportunity to take leadership position as Platoon Leader, Company Commander, Battalion Commander and other specific roles throughout the duration of the GFTX on the different phases of training. In the message of PSSUPT ABAD H OSIT, he emphasized the incident happened in Paluan MPS, Occidental Mindoro wherein two (2) personnel from Regional Public Safety Battalion died when said MPS was attacked by the members of CNN and stressed out to the participants the importance of this training in combating Internal Security Operations. -Xx-end-xx--
