POLITICAL STRENGTH OF BORNO PDP The emergence of Mohammed Imam has changed the political dynamic of the governorship contest in the state. Imam we all know is here with all of us in Maiduguri . So no one can accuse him of been an Abuja politician. Imam is a grassroots mobiliser whom the governor met in politics. So for the PDP to have finally resolved on Imam indicates great political judgement. Imam candidature is already creating ripples within the state APC . We know the Governor sundenly fly to Abuja because the enthusiasm created by the PDP candidate is overwhelming. The streets of Borno is brimming with prospect for change . Our people have seen an alternative to a thieving Boko Haramite government. Borno people are fed up with a thieving government and their prayer was to have somebody close to the grassroot and somebody who know where the shoe pinches as their next governor. Imam presented that choice and the arguments in his favour are so overwhelming that Kashim Shetimma should by now be preparing his handover notes. The choice of PDP is a master stroke that guarantees total victory for the party in February. Many reasons make the PDP victory a fait accompli. One Borno People regards Shetima government as a predatory one where thievery and looting are the norm. Our people have records of several houses and properties Shetima and his commissioners bought since taken over government. It is so bad that the governor like a glutton is greedily buying up all available properties under this insurgency. He is profiteering on the blood and pains of our people. He not only looted but also left the state treasury open for his commissioners who now own choice properties in the federal capital. The list of those properties is with our people and during elections,we will circulate it to the public. Hard evidence of looting was also confirmed by the EFCC.Several newspaper reports revealed the extent of looting by Kashim and his boys. If corruption is the name ,evidences now abound implicating the governor as an accomplice of the Boko sect. First he is reported to be paying protection fees to the sect. Next trans border arrest revealed linkage in the area of sponsorship. Then the day PDP held her unity rally in Maiduguri,suicide bombers infiltrated the town. Kashim wanted to make the city unsafe for PDP to operate. Then come indicting reports from local and international security agencies,linking the governor to the insurgency. As if that is not enough,the governor turned the blood of our people into money making venture. The governor shamelessly claimed his government is spending about six hundred million monthly on the IDP camps. The fraudulent claim was rebuffed by many Bornolites and a group issued a statement accusing the Governor of looting the treasury in the guise of catering for displaced people. If Shetimma is corruption ridden and a closet boko man,he has also failed woefully in governance. Many projects were left uncompleted even when full money has been paid. No major landmark project and Lagos road dualisation remains uncompleyed four years after.The best he has achieved are some boreholes and parks when his mates are commisdioning overhead bridges. Governor Shetima is a failure as a governor. Why should Borno people vote for a failure ,a traitor,a man secretly funding Boko Haram with state money,a man looting so recklessly ,a man with nothing to show after four years in office? Our people say NO to KSM and they are shouting on roof top that Imam is their choice. What will Imam and PDP offer? A lot. When the campaign is flagged off in January,the whole world will know Imam and PDP has lot of good things to offer. Above is why PDP will win. Above is why Kashim cannot sleep since the PDP adopted Mohammed Imam. For the information of APC,the matter is resolved . Kashim should prepare handover notes for Imam.
