POST 33/104: SOCIAL WORK POLICY DEVELOPER CARE AND SERVICES TO OLDER PERSONS REF NO: SD/2014/12/P SALARY: R 261 606 per annum (plus benefits) CENTRE: Head Office REQUIREMENTS: Degree in Social Work with 8 years social work experience in Social Worker after registration as Social Work with the SACSSP. Knowledge and understanding of legislative, policy and Institutional frameworks governing child care and protection functions in the Sector. Knowledge and understanding of departmental child care and protection priorities, commitments, policies, procedures and processes. SKILLS AND COMPETENCES: Good reporting, project and programme management, monitoring and evaluation, negotiation and conflict resolution, Social empowerment and Social intervention skills, Ability to review develop, interpret and apply Social Work Policies. DUTIES: Implement legislative and policy mandates. Monitor the implication of legislative and policy mandates regulating service to older person’s functions in regions residential facilities and community based care facilities. Service delivery innovation of care and service to older persons functions. Monitor the implementation of improvement plans. Deliver service delivery improving plans, Monitor residential facilities for older persons. Conduct onsite monitoring of funded residential facilities. Monitor registered funded community based care and support facilities. Monitor active aging programmes implemented to community based care facilities.
