POWER PACK CLIPPING Oh my I already have one of my regulars who is already growing some fluff. Poor Girl I think she is seriously confused about the seasons. For those of you out there competing their steeds in CTR, Endurance or eventing I am happy to clip them out for you during the summer. I am certainly not one of those people who thinks they know all and state you can only clip at certain times of the year. Its absolute rubbish. Some horses are quite naturally hot and clipping over the summer helps them in many ways faster drying, cooler during work and prevention of heat lumps. Most of the time these things are not really an issue for most disaplines but for eventers, CTR and endurance horses the above are real issues. Clipping does not ruin coats either. if your horse is fit and healthy and cover accordingly then they grow back the same beautifull coat they had before. The only time you really notice a big change is over winter. Many of my clients clip before horse of the year to ensure a nice short good looking coat. Even in winter your horse if healthy should have nice shinny coat just longer to accommodate the cold.
