The Role As the Production Supervisor you will be part of a team responsible for achieving the key launch milestones to control the organisation of a shift including responsibility for "Launch readiness" and Production, ensuring all of the key metrics are achieved initially on a dayshift and moving on to a rotating shift pattern. To ensure the Facility is production ready for all Launch milestones. The data inputting of the shift activities to produce a senior management report every shift with relevant data and special cause activities. To ensure consistent delivery of Safety targets through proactive application of; hazard spotting, near miss reporting and a disciplined approach to accident reporting and risk assessment. Lead Production team to deliver Standardised Work consistently. Maintain and improve base process and adhere to audit process. To achieve Productivity targets year on year through the application of Lean Master Class tools. To achieve Scrap and Consumable budgets through clear Policy deployment and a Disciplined approach to QOS process and Problem Solving. To create and apply SMART targets for the team via Policy Deployment, Employee Appraisal process and Competency Assessment. Deliver Roadmap working practises working closely with the Trade Union and Health and Safety reps. Provide motivation to all team members; seek to implement initiatives to continually improve employee relations and employee morale. The Person The ability to problem solve using the 8D format. Six Sigma trained - able to problem solve and coach others in process. Previous launch & Machining or Engine Assembly experience would be an advantage but is not essential Experience in Production Management. A Technical/Professional qualification. Manpower Planning. Good understanding of Industrial engineering processes. Ability to interrogate and interpret data required for problem resolution. Understanding of Statistical Process control, control plans. Understanding of Industrial engineering. Experience of Working in a Unionised environment. Ability to work independently applying common processes and standards. Must be able to form good working relationships at all levels of the organisation. Must be able to work a variety of shift patterns Ability to anticipate future challenges and opportunities. Role model for "customer is job 1" leadership style. Champions a continuous improvement spirit.
