PRAYER #Part1 PRAYER is the mode/channel of communication from man to GOD. As a believer, you must draw near to God by doing all that He demands of you, prayer being an integral part of it. The LORDs prayer that Christ taught in MATTHEW 6:9-13 is not an end to itself but rather a guide map on how to navigate through prayer. No one of us can lay a claim on their total knowledge on and about prayer. Friends, prayer in brief, therefore, should be inclusive of: 1 WORSHIP A worshiper is a friend of God! A worshiper gets Gods attention and digs right into His liking. He/She touches the heart of God. When we cease to focus our attention onto our present need to be given and redirect the same to the greatness of GOD, the Giver, then we get His attention. We, as worshiper must put our LORD into His rightful position. That is the starting point! 2. NEEDS PRESENTATION Our needs should be presented to God through faith and the sure understanding of our rightful position in God. We must be alive to the fact that we are important children of God and that He means good to us always. This understanding gives us confidence! We ought to request/plead with God and not allow ourselves into what has become of modern day prayer; commanding prayers. God cannot be coerced, arm-twisted or compelled into action. He does it at His time, will and way. Pray under no pressure but rather in reverence and humility. Seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened. GOD BLESS YOU.
