PREFACE FOR CODE I When I first met Emile in Arizona back in 2012, he struck me as a quiet and introspective ma. Little did I know that behind the calm exterior lay hidden a maelstrom of furious, incessant mental activity that never seemed to take a day off. Whats more, he turned out to be the kind of person who is actually able to verbalize and put down into words the catxhy, engaging, and stimulating aphorisms you are about to read with a clarity and humor that few posses. When I started reading what Emile was writing, I couldnt help myself but to compare his style and take on existential matters with that of Nietzsche. Not a bad comparison indeed. His axioms and dictums make the reader pair and reflect, then reread and think again about the deeper meaning hidden Im the words carefully crafted, almost playful truisms and adages the author has crafted. Indeed, I submit to you that Emile has that extra gear when it comes to language, to say nothing of his uncanny grasps of daily lifes ironies and lessons learned the hard way. But perhaps most amazing in the context of the undeniably American background of Emiles writing is the fact that his wisdom is international, if not universal in character. Time honored and life tested wisdom cannot be pigeonholed into being of one nationality, ethnicity, religion or culture. It should be, as is the case of the Ultimate Wisdom Code I, timeless.
