PREGAME MEALS 7-ON-7 TOURNAMENT RECAP: VILLAGE ACADEMY Village Academy finished pool play with a record of 1-2. The Tigers did not qualify for the elimination rounds, but they did turn some heads by defeating Douglas (Parkland) in Game 3 of the pool play segment. Village Academy, led by 2015 ATH/Bryant verbal commit Jean Constant, even went toe-to-toe with Miami Northwestern throughout their pool play contest in Game 1. The Tigers went in to lose in overtime to the Bulls. Despite the loss, which dropped Village Academy to 0-1 in pool play, the Delray Beach crew represented their school and their city well by playing tough on every possession and every play against one of Dade Countys best. Village Academy lost to Carol City (Miami) in Game 2, which dropped the teams pool play record to 0-2. The victory over Douglas gave Village Academy the 1-2 final record.
