PRESIDENT GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN MOVES ON DESPITE TRYING - TopicsExpress

PRESIDENT GOODLUCK EBELE JONATHAN MOVES ON DESPITE TRYING POLITICAL TIMES: Sometimes it appears as though the Nigerian polity is going to crumble such that we loose it. Most times it looks like Nigeria’s indices as a nation is waiting to explode in a mould of spring of protests and change. No one could say for certainty how long the nation’s elasticity could stretch before it snaps. All of these are happening at a time when the country is ruled by a Niger Deltan. They are happening because the Northern elements are ethnically profiled with President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan (PGEJ) and probably because they belief Nigeria should be ruled only by them as birth rights. The Northerners fail to know that Nigeria neither belong to any particular ethnic group nor does it belong to any individual --- be it a past president or a military general. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo should keep quiet and not dig a grave for our amiable President just because he was not allowed to amend the constitution that should have made him seek a third term in office. It would be unfair for any person or group to seek to stop President Jonathan from his constitutionally guaranteed right of seeking a second term in office. Nobody should be bittered because the President is from a minority ethnic group but should remember that Niger Delta zone is the goose that lays the golden eggs for Nigeria; hence should be left alone to enjoy their full constitutional right. Whoever is saying President Jonathan has not performed creditably should remember that sustaining and promoting Nigeria’s unity is critical to its growth; and that PGEJ is the man with impeccable nationalistic and patriotic credentials. He may be in a political hot spot but will eventually sail through it. We at Akwa Ibom Peoples Promise Alliance (APPA), will join forces with other political support groups of similar interests to support President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for a second tenure in 2015 despite his trying political times. We urge you to equally stand up for justice and equity (that APPA always preach) by supporting and voting for Goodluck Jonathan for a second term. Niger Deltans should not allow this opportunity to slip by as it may not come anymore. Well-meaning Nigerians should look more into the constitutionality of PGEJ’s ambition. Let us remember that it’s the best this zone could ever have and that a brother remains a brother no matter how he may be. Let us support PGEJ for the good of it! - Team APPA
