PRESS CENTRE Wednesday League Featured Game Report Kefron V Comerford FC Kefron FC were looking to bounce back following last weeks defeat by the Whipping Boys whilst Comerford FC were hoping to kickstart their season with a win. Comerford FC faced the tricky task of a double game, this was their first fixture of the night. Kefron were without key man Wayne Condron but still they began the game well with Gary Scully causing the Comerford defence plenty of problems. Comerford were struggling to deal with the pace of the Kefron attack but towards the end of the opening half they began to come into the game more. David Balfe was noticably struggling for Kefron, he missed a number of sitters and was caught in possession a number of times! Sean McGuigan and Gary Scully were the star men for Kefron, McGuigan hit 4 goals, whilst Man of the Match Scully scored 10, he will play for FREE next week. Despite a decent performance and great individual performances from Graham Campbell and Joe McCarthy, Comerford just werent clinical enough on the night and Kefron proved too strong. Comerford did bounce back with a win in their second game but it was Kefron who got 3 points in the 7.30 kick off.
