PRESS RELEASE - UPDATE TO MURDER INVESTIGATION The Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office is releasing the identity of a deceased person that was discovered yesterday by Precinct 4 workers. On November 4, 2014 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Precinct 4 workers discovered what appeared to be a body inside of some trash bags near 9 Mile Line Rd and Ware Rd in rural McAllen, Hidalgo County, TX. The workers notified the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office who responded to the scene, and verified that a deceased body was in the bags, leading to the initiation of a criminal investigation. Justice of the Peace Luis Garza responded to the scene and ordered an autopsy to be performed. Sheriff’s Investigators have identified the deceased as 26 year old male Victor Manuel Garcia from McAllen, Hidalgo County, TX.
