PRESS RELEASE #13-002654 On July 20th, 2013 at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Hamilton County Emergency Communication Center received a call of a suicidal subject in the area of Riverview Hospital, located at 395 Westfield Road (Noblesville). Responding officers located the suspect, who is identified as a 27 year old male from Noblesville, in the parking lot on the east side of the hospital. Preliminary investigation shows officers attempted to use less-than-lethal munitions on the suspect which were not effective and the suspect disobeyed the verbal commands of officers on the scene. During this time officers perceived a threat from the individual and he was subsequently shot twice by members of the Noblesville Police Department. The individual was transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. The criminal investigation is being handled by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department and is on-going at this time. When the investigation is complete, it will be submitted to the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
