PRESS RELEASE 25th June 2013 ISLE OF MAN BANK TOWN CENTRE CYCLE SERIES It is with regret that we have to announce that the Isle of Man Bank sponsored Town Centre Cycling Series has been cancelled due to lower than anticipated entries. Any event that requires road closures causes a certain amount of inconvenience to local residents and businesses. As event Promoter we recognise that we have a responsibility to balance the inconvenience of the road closure against the many positive aspects an event brings to the community. Under these circumstances we feel that the road closure cannot be justified and have taken the difficult decision to cancel the event. All entry fees received will be returned in full within seven days We would like to express our gratitude to the Isle of Man Bank; the event sponsors, whose support has been and remains invaluable. Additionally we would like to thank the local authorities, Police and IOM Government Department of Infrastructure for their cooperation and enthusiasm in assisting with the planning of the event.
