PRESS RELEASE 67/13 For Immediate Release July 02, 2013 CARICOM CELEBRATES FORTY YEARS OF INTEGRATION On July 4, 2013, the region celebrates the fortieth anniversary of the establishment of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) under the theme, “Forty years of Integration: Celebration and Renewal”. To mark this milestone, Prime Minister Hon. Dr. Kenny D. Anthony will deliver a message to the nation on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 8:00pm. In addition, the Office of the Prime Minister will host a Parade of Flags Ceremony to be held at the Derek Walcott Square, on Thursday, July 4, 2013 from 10:00am. In attendance will be Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy, Governor General of Saint Lucia and Acting Prime Minister Hon. Philip J. Pierre. All members of the public are invited to be part of this special celebration, as we recognize our successes and renew our efforts to continue to advance our common interests as a region. End.
