PRESS RELEASE Date: Sunday, November 23, 2014 Release Date: Immediately Subject: Sheriff deputies arrest six (6) on drug related charges On Friday, November 21, 2014, Floyd County Sheriff Deputies arrested three (3) individuals on drug trafficking charges stemming from an investigation by the Johnson County Sheriff’s Dept. Floyd County Sheriff’s deputies went to a residence on KY Rt 321, North of Prestonsburg, in the attempt to locate: • Tammy Pennington, age 49 • Dustin Pennington, age 22 • John Pennington, age 23 Floyd deputies located the three individuals plus a fourth individual, Troy Tackett, age 37 of Paintsville, who was arrested on an outstanding warrant for illegal manufacturing of methamphetamine and persistent felony offender 2nd degree. Sheriff deputies also charged and arrested two (2) additional persons at the residence, Lavanna Tackett, age 30, of Meally, KY and Alicia N. Hill, age 28, of Prestonsburg, KY for Hindering Apprehension 2nd degree. The arrests and investigation was conducted by sheriff deputies Kevin Shepherd, Landon Hall and Brad Caldwell.
