Koinadugu still remains the only district that has not registered confirmed cases of Ebola in Sierra Leone IMPORTANT NOTE The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) wishes to inform the general public that due to the contagious and infectious nature of the Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), it is a policy that burial teams, surveillance officers and contact tracers do not work beyond 6P.M, for their safety. The public is therefore informed that all calls made to the EOC after 6 P.M concerning corpses, suspected and probable cases in communities will be attended to by the respective teams the next day. The EOC wishes the public to also know that the number of burial teams in the Western Area has been increased to nine (9) so as to avoid delays in responding to the burials in the Western Area. The EOC expresses its sincere appreciation to the public for the cooperation given to the authorities so far in the fight against the EVD and continues to solicit that cooperation from the public. Together, we will defeat Ebola.
