UPDF IN SOUTH SUDAN • The UPDF has been engaged in the South Sudan Conflict for the last couple of months • The framework for the UPDF continued stay in South Sudan is only minimally backed by the statement of the minister of defense to Parliament • In view of the recent International and regional government statements urging Uganda to pull out of South Sudan a) Is there a plan of withdrawal of our troops from South Sudan? b) Who is meeting the cost of war and maintenance of UPDF in South Sudan • South Sudan maintains that they pay, while other sources intimate that the cost of this war is steadily eating away at our national budget. Rumors of the intention of the 120Billion supplementary budget for this cause? What is the truth? • We hear and also read media reports that the UPDF is planning to head to C.A.R if they leave South Sudan. Now under whose auspices is the C.A.R deployment going to be carried out? UN, AU, IGAD? • The state of the UPDF Soldiers in South Sudan media is awash with bodies in UPDF uniform, others surrendering whilst other bodies being devoured by vultures, Are they sons and daughters of Uganda? • FDC wishes to see Uganda forces replaced by a force under the auspices of the AU, UN, or IGAD 2. CONSTITUTIONAL COURT RULING ON THE NRM REBEL MPs- Period 2014-2018 As per the main goal of FDC over the next five years: “To strengthen the Party and ensure that is recognized as a vehicle committed to ensuring economic and social justice for all Every Ugandan that works and seeks to promote social and economic justice is in line with our strategic goal and in our ally. If the cause of the rebel MPs is such, then we fully support them WHIPPING IN PARTIES IS A STANDARD PRACTICE BASED ON THREE CORE PRINCIPLES SYMBOLISED BY THE CODED COLOUR SYSTEM GREEN, ORANGE and RED One Uganda!
