PRESS RELEASE ON SEPTEMBER 2014 SALARIES:   The Controller and Accountant - General’s Department (CAGD) wishes to inform Heads of Departments, employees and the general public that salaries of public servants who are on the mechanized payroll at CAGD for September, 2014 has been paid. The salaries of staff of the Ghana Education Service (GES) were sent to the banks on 25th September, 2014 and that of other Public Servants on 29th September, 2014. The banks have since been crediting the accounts of employees. The delay was due to update of the payroll system which extended beyond the normal scheduled time. Meanwhile, the CAGD has sent SMS messages to all employees to alert them of their salaries for the month. The CAGD therefore wishes to refute the allegation being circulated in the social media which attributes the delay in the payment of salaries for September, 2014 to financial challenges. All employees who receive salary through the CAGD should visit their respective banks and access their salaries for September, 2014.
