PRESS RELEASE Ostomy Support Group to Meet Certified Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses (CWOCN) at Mercer Health offer an Ostomy Support Group at Mercer County Community Hospital to educate those living with and caring for an ostomy, ostomy appliances and many other related topics. The next support group meets on Monday, December 22 at 6 p.m. The discussion will focus on possible skin issues that can occur with ostomates. Mercer Health offers comprehensive ostomy and continence care and wound healing services as part of its Disease Management Clinic, located at the Community Medical Center in Celina. Jodi Homan, supervisor of Mercer Health’s Community Medical Center states, “Without Michelle and Kendall’s expertise, patients would have to travel much further to get the care they need to sustain their lives. World Ostomy Day and Ostomy Awareness Day was celebrated on October 6th but we value Michelle and Kendall’s expertise in ostomy, continence and wound care every day.”
