PRESS RELEASE SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE COLLISION: The Mount Laurel Police Department is investigating a motorcycle crash which occurred on July 27, 2013 at approximately 2:39 am. A Honda CBR motorcycle was traveling on Route 73 northbound when the driver lost control and struck a utility pole near the intersection with Church Road. The driver of the motorcycle was transported to Cooper Hospital with serious injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the Mount Laurel Police Traffic Bureau. Anyone with information regarding the crash is asked to call the Traffic Bureau at (856) 234-1414 ext 1565. Driver Information: Dean M Simon, age 22, of the 700 block of Chestnut Street, Palmyra, NJ SHOPLIFTING: An employee of Ulta on Nixon Drive reported a shoplifting. The incident occurred on July 26 at 12:32 PM. A white male in his later 30’s, approximately 6’5” tall, 200lbs., shaved head, thin blond mustache, wearing a black shirt, and tan shorts was observed leaving the store with approximately $200.00 worth of cologne without payment. The subject fled the area prior to police arrival. The same individual is suspected in the shoplifting of approximately $1,000.00 worth of cologne on July 24. ARREST (THEFT): Mount Laurel Police arrested Carmen N. Muniz, age 31, of the 1500 block of Wildwood Avenue, Camden, on July 26 at 1:30PM. An investigation determined that Muniz had stolen another customer’s iPhone while they were in the Ross Dress for Less on Nixon Drive. Muniz also had several outstanding traffic warrants. She was charged with theft and committed to the Burlington County Jail in lieu of $1,500.00 bail. Officer E. Aybar was the arresting officer. CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: A guest of the Rodeway Inn on Route 73 reported a criminal mischief to a vehicle. The incident occurred between 6:00 PM July 25, and 12:41 PM July 26. Four vehicle tires were slashed. Damage is estimated at $600.00. THEFT: (Ethel Lawrence Homes) A resident of the 100 block of Faith Court reported $500.00 in cash was stolen from inside their residence. The incident occurred between approximately 12:00 AM July 26, 2012 and approximately 8:00 PM July 26, 2013. There was no sign of forced entry to the residence. STOLEN VEHICLE: (Ramblewood Apartments) A resident of the unit block of Holly Cove reported a stolen vehicle. The incident occurred between 8:00 AM July 20 and 4:50 PM July 26. A 2008 Kawaskaki RS600, valued at $12,000.00, was taken. ARREST (CDS): Mount Laurel Police arrested Tyrell J. Maloney, age 20, of the unit block of Pine Tree Lane, Willingboro, and Arraheem S. Kendrick, age 19, of the unit block of Peacock Lane, Willingboro for possession of marijuana. They were arrested after being stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Rogers Walk near Route 73 on July 28 at 12:13 AM. Maloney and Kendrick were charged with possession of marijuana (under 50 grams) and released pending a municipal court hearing. Corporal R. Orange and Officer A. Harty were the arresting officers.
