FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Contact Info Rob Kirkpatrick Cell: 803.517.4507 Email: boborcesq@gmail Scott Laughlin Cell: 803.230.0368 Email: sciotch@gmail Jakob McCann Cell: 803.372.8845 Email: JakobMC@gmail July 4, 2013 WallacePalooza!!! Saturday, July 27th we are holding “WallacePalooza” as an event to raise money for Chris Wallace. We’re lining up an awesome list of bands to play all day, great prizes for a raffle and silent auction and a couple of surprises throughout the day. We’ll be at it all day long at McHale’s on Main in Rock Hill, so please come out and show your support!!! For those rare few that don’t know him, Chris Wallace has lived in the Rock Hill/Fort Mill area for most of his life and is a regular in many of the downtown establishments. Many of you have probably met him, or at least seen him and his lovely wife out and about somewhere. Aside from being, generally, one of the nicest people you would ever have the honor of meeting; Chris was just recently (June 3rd) married to the love of his life, Ginny. Ginny and Chris were not even a week back from their honeymoon at the beach when Chris was hit with a brain hemorrhage. As you can imagine, this is a pretty traumatic thing to happen to a young man and his new bride. Chris has already undergone one surgery and may have to have more to ensure any additional clots or hemorrhages are addressed. He will be in the ICU for as much as four weeks, and as you can imagine, this is a very expensive proposition that may run into the thousands of dollars per day, all while Chris is unable to work (then if you consider the therapy after he’s done in the ICU, the costs are staggering). The July 27th benefit is to raise some money for the Wallace’s out of pocket expenses, and to have a great time in honor of one of the best human beings alive. Chris would give you the shirt off his back, and we want him to know that the community he lives in would do the same for him. Rock Hill has an awesome tradition of stepping up when one of their own is in need, and we want to keep this tradition alive. There are donation buckets on the bar at McHale’s on Main, the Vault Bar and MillStone Pizza and Tap House, so you can donate even if you can’t attend. The support so far has been amazing, and I know we can keep it up until the benefit on the 27th. Chris truly is one of the best of us, so let’s band together to make sure these two wonderful people aren’t destroyed by this tragedy.
