PRESS STATEMENT Global Thinkers Forum Award- Excellence in Science: Professionals for Humanity (PROFOH) The Board of Directors of PROFOH, led by its Executive Director on behalf of the organization Chairman Mr. Phil Harper Nugent is leaving for Athens, Greece 30th November, 2013 to receive this year prestigious award as the recipient of the 2013 GTF Humanitarian Award. The award will be the highest accolade for the year 2013. The award was bestowed on our organization as a token of appreciation for our humble contribution to Humanity in Health Care, Safe Water and Education. The Executive Director, Mr. Gbemuotor Dan Kama will be accompanied to Greece by several Board members including Mr. Markus von-Have from PROFOH Headquarters in Hamburg Germany, Dr. Conrado Ordonez, from our Texas office, Ms. Angela Chester-Johnson, also Director of Education and Gender from our Washington, DC office, the United States, Mr. Ajay Singh and Dr. Prince Awuzie from our London and Dublin offices respectively, Dr. Marcie Russell from Abuja office including several other members from Accra, Lagos, Cape Town and Nairobi offices. PROGRAMME: Whilst in Athens, Greece PROFOH delegation will be hosted to a welcome dinner at 7 p.m. on December 2nd 2013 in the presence of top government officials of the host Country, Greece, including His Excellency the UN High Representative Mr. Nassir A. Al Nasser under the auspices of the City of Athens and the Mayor of Athens, Mr. George Kaminis in the old city Hall. This occasion will be graced by the world acclaimed conductor and composer Sir Dirk Brosse will give a private concert for the VIP guests. The days proceedings (keynotes, panels) will take place at the New Benaki Museum on Tuesday December 3rd 2013 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., at the state of the art facilities and one of the top contemporary Arts museums in Athens. The GTF 2013 Awards for Excellence Gala will be hosted at the Grand Bretagne Hotel at 7.30pm the citys landmark hotel. The GTF Workshops will take place on December 4th at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel and will be open to GTF speakers, delegates and guests . The Athenaeum Intercontinental is also the official GTF 2013 Hotel where GTF Speakers and guests will be accommodated.
