Primary prevention can reduce the risk of developing a disease due to a substance or behavior. Example: no smoking reduces your risk of getting certain cancers and diseases of the heart and circulation. SECONDARY prevention can not prevent a disease form but discovers when it is still in very early stage. It is also called early diagnosis.
