PRODUCTION ART Here are the requirements for the Sewer Layout assignment: Week 1 - Jan 12 Sewer Layout Design the interior of a sewer tunnel. Dimensions: minimum 12 ft - max 16 ft circumference As deep as you want. Can end in a ‘T’ or ‘Y’ junction. This will be a double length layout. Use two or three sheets of 11” x 17” paper, taped together to form an 11” x 34 - 51” pan sheet. One end is a one point perspective and the other must turn into either another one point or two point view (creating a 180˚ rotation pan). Must have at least one walkway along the side, minimum 3 ft wide. Sewage but not overflowing walkway. Can add some garbage but not enough to cause dam. No bodies of animals or humans. Must contain the following items: • ceiling lights every 10 ft - can be bulbs or flourescent. Connected by electrical wiring and junction boxes. • feeder pipes or adjacent tunnels branching out/in • pipes along walls and ceiling (may be broken) • Electrical fuse box (may be damaged and open) • Ladder leading to surface through access tube in ceiling Optional items • barrels of something toxic • stairs and bridge across sewage • gates • doorway • waterfall efx (drawn in red) Begin by drawing a floorplan to figure out where everything is going to be placed. Play around with the configurations to come up with the most interesting location. Horizon line can be anywhere you want, you can even move it during the pan as discussed in class. This layout will be used in your 3D class to be modelled and textured. These are some demo examples from last years class.
