PROJECT MANAGER Hornibrook NGI LTD is a major Construction and Steel Fabrication Company based in Lae, Papua New Guinea. We are currently seeking a qualified Project Manager to join our Building Division in Lae, Papua New Guinea. Qualifications: • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager • Trade Certificates and/or Tertiary Qualification Required • Must be proficient in MS Project and MS Excel This Job Requires an Individual who Possess the Following Behavioural Traits: • Firm believer in teamwork • Well developed sense of accountability, self discipline and responsibility • Works well with people and different cultures • Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing environment and embraces challenges • Reacts to project variations promptly and efficiently • Ambitious and goal orientated Duties: • Well developed project planning skills including preparation of construction programmes, Bill of Quantities and Procurement Plans • The ability to direct and manage project development from beginning to end • Co-ordinate and direct project activities and staff • Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise Site Managers, project team members, and contractors to influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. • Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary. Previous work experience in a third world country is desirable but not necessary.
