PROJECT OFFICER KINGBOROUGH FOOD CHAIN Council has received a Heart Foundation Tasmania grant to develop programs that will increase community access to fresh fruit and vegetables and increase the availability of locally grown and produced, or value-added, fruit and vegetables in Kingborough. In this role, you will be responsible for working with Council and our community partners in developing sales opportunities and distribution points for fresh locally grown produce and establishing new initiatives such as a Farmer’s Market to connect local people with local produce. To be successful, you will need to have significant experience in delivering community development projects and a demonstrated understanding of nutrition. Well-developed research, organisational and communication skills are also essential. The position is part-time, 24 hours per week for a period of 16 months, with a pro-rata salary based on a full time equivalent $54,165, plus 12.5% superannuation.
