PROLOGUE: ‘The ride to the telecommunications mast’. This stage comprises of 45 miles of reasonably undulating countryside. We should have a decent push from the wind until we arrive at Cottesmore, which is at the 30 miles point. Here we swing north, north/west and start a 15 mile push, which is characterised by being high and open and it looks as though it will be wind against. With the best of planning and the differences in speed/agendas then it is likely that there will be a few groups forming – for this reason it may be worth having a street view peek of the Stop. As mentioned before it is not totally recognisable from the road. However it is left on the crossroads and is a farm building. We start the next stage by turning right. The crossroads is three miles the other side of Waltham-On-The-Wolds. They are expecting us....
