PROMOTE PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY This, of course, is easier said than done. It would of necessity require that we repudiate and wean ourselves off a culture of entitlement, and become winners in a culture of personal responsibility. And that should be the principal dispensation of the state: supporting and promoting personal responsibility that is grounded in core values and common respect. For instance, how can a state support your employment if you do not first show that you believe in hard and sensible work? How can any state help you if you do not first help yourself and if you do not show that you are willing to make personal sacrifices to that effect? ~Throne Speech 2014
